Identity separation
Routine research records use participant IDs. Direct identity remains in a restricted store when collection is necessary.
- Participant IDs are the working identifiers used in research records.
- Names and contact details belong in a restricted identity store, separate from research evidence.
- Any participant-ID-to-identity linkage is a distinct restricted record with explicit access control and auditability.
- Analysis workspaces and routine exports should exclude direct identifiers by default.
- Use anonymous only when Convera does not retain a link back to identity; otherwise use pseudonymous or confidential.
Identity is stored separately and research records use a participant identifier.
Identity may remain attached only when the study requires it and permissions allow it.
Recruitment/contact details are retained separately from analysis data.
Your name and contact information, when collected, are stored separately from your research responses. Research records use a participant identifier rather than your name. Access to identifying information is limited to authorized personnel and is excluded from routine analysis and research exports.
