Ryan Brown, M.A., is founder of Convera Strategies, a Ph.D. student, lecturer, and researcher in Criminal Justice and Socio-Legal Studies at Rutgers University–Newark. His work examines law, institutions, public authority, workplace culture, and the narratives organizations use to define conduct, responsibility, legitimacy, and meaning. Ryan Brown, M.A., is founder of Convera Strategies, a Ph.D. student, lecturer, and researcher in Criminal Justice and Socio-Legal Studies at Rutgers University–Newark. His scholarly and professional interests center on law, criminal justice, socio-legal studies, institutional narratives, public authority, legitimacy, workplace culture, and organizational meaning.
His work examines how legal and public institutions construct meaning through language, records, decisions, and institutional practices. He is particularly interested in how organizations interpret contested events, explain the exercise of authority, and transform complex social and legal circumstances into institutional narratives.
Through Convera Strategies, Ryan brings this research orientation into public scholarship, speaking, facilitated conversation, organizational inquiry, and project-based professional work. Convera is organized around three intersecting areas: Social Perspectives, Workplace Culture, and Organizational Strategy.
